Cassio Macambira was born in Brazil. While studying Communication Art at Sao Paulo State University, he apprenticed under a commercial photographer. He continued his studies of commercial photography and gained experience throughout his apprenticeship. He also worked as an exclusive photographer of a music magazine and various motor sports including Formula 1 during this time.

After graduating from his university, Cassio went to England and majored in Publicity and Propaganda at University of Warwick graduate school in London. He further improved his skills in photography under a fashion photographer while there.

Cassio has been living in Japan, focusing on fashion photography and people. Today, he continues to explore and expand his own style, working with international celebrities, top models, and major brands including Samantha Thavasa, HONDA and JUN men.
